What baking equipment do you need when starting a bakery?
The following are just a few examples of the various types of equipment required for a bakery to function properly:
- Cake mixers
- Dough mixers
- Dough rollers
- Ovens
- Electric provers
When purchasing from a top bakery equipment supplier with years of experience, you will ensure that you invest in high-quality, long-lasting apparatus.
What are the different baking equipment sizes?
Every type of baking equipment is available in a variety of sizes. Ovens, for example, is available in full, half, and under-counter configurations. There are three sizes of mixers: small, medium, and giant. Single or double door provers are available. The layout of your kitchen will determine the sizes of the item you purchase.
Types of ovens
Deck ovens are commonly used by artisan bakers or those who make specialty breads. Their stone cooking decks heat up, imparting a distinct, crispy flavour to the food, while keeping the inside soft and moist. If space is limited, keep in mind that a deck oven takes up significantly more space than a convection oven. However, due to their simple design and few moving parts, they last a long time and perform well. There are both single- and multi-deck models to choose from.
Convection ovens are an important component of commercial baking equipment. Except that convection ovens are the least expensive to use in a commercial bakery, it is also diverse in the wide range of products they can produce quickly and consistently. Bread, cookies, pastries, pizzas, and desserts are only a few examples.
