Summary

This role entails being passionate about sales of food service / catering equipment - building relationships with existing and new clients ; driving the sales journey from interest to purchase.

Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Provide general sales support in the showroom (needs analysis, product demonstrations).
  • Grow relationships with existing distributors and end user customers.
  • Call on prospective clients (business owners, restaurant owners, catering managers, hotel managers, chefs etc) and follow up on leads.
  • Consult with clients on showroom floor, telephonically, Whatsapp and/or via email
  • Track progress of sales according to targets alongside Sales Manager.
  • Keep up to date with new products, market conditions, advertising and promotional trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and are advertised in a way that suits customer base.
  • Ensure general housekeeping of the showroom – presentable and stocked at all times.
  • Report any noticeable trends, ideas, challenges or general info to the Sales Manager on a weekly or monthly basis.

Administration

  • Effectively manage the sales administration.
  • Prepare and issue quotes and invoices.
  • Process payments via cash, eft or credit card.
  • Provide exceptional service and follow through on orders, couriers and deliveries.

Team support

  • Support sales team and colleagues where possible.
  • Engage in team activities, training, and meetings.
  • Assist colleagues with administration and/or sales where necessary.
